To create this capsule collection, Coach collaborated with Lil Nas X to create the feel of the collection, inspired by his unique style and color sensibility. Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers then worked with Lil Nas X to select and customize some of his favorite pieces, including a shearling coat in pop colors, an American varsity jacket personalized with concert merchandise-inspired graphics, and patches of symbols from Lil Nas X's life, like his pet cat and his astrological sign, Aries. Part of the Coach "Winter 2023" collection, the capsule features Americana archetypes like leather biker jackets and shearling jackets, brought to life with youthful acid graphics and electric colors evocative of rave culture, alongside t-shirts, sweatshirts, and bags. Bonnie Cashin's leopard print from the Coach archives is also reinterpreted for a modern look. "I'm a huge fan of the collection," Vevers said. "This winter collection is inspired by my belief that fashion is about exploring who you are and embracing and celebrating it all. To create the collection, we dug into pieces from the Coach archives and drew inspiration from Lil Nas X's connection to music and nightlife. We've evolved the heritage styles we showed on last season's runway by expanding on color, texture and graphics to create pieces that celebrate individuality and authentic self-expression, something we all value."
