Sanrio will open its directly managed cafe, "SANRIO CAFE Ikebukuro," on the first basement floor of Sunshine City Alpa in Ikebukuro on June 5, 2020.


SANRIO CAFE Ikebukuro, where you can enjoy original menus that recreate the cute world of Sanrio characters, will be located in a highly convenient area, just off the underground escalator from Sunshine Street to Sunshine City, and approximately an eight-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station.


Comprised of two areas: a cafe space and a cafe wagon corner specializing in takeout. Not only can you enjoy a fun time in the cafe space surrounded by cute characters, but you can also enjoy character-themed sweets and drinks in the takeout corner.

In light of the current situation regarding the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Japan, our cafe will prioritize the health and safety of our customers and stakeholders, and will operate while taking all possible measures to prevent the spread of infection.

Main infection prevention measures and requests for customer cooperation
- Employees will wear masks and thoroughly manage their health. Hand washing and hand sanitizer will be implemented.
- Empty seats will be reserved to reduce crowding.
- Disinfectant will be provided for customers, anti-droplet infection sheets will be installed in front of the register, and the store will be frequently cleaned with disinfectant.
- We will strive to maintain a certain distance (social distancing) between customers when serving customers.
- Coin trays will be used when exchanging cash and cards.
- Please wear a mask when visiting the store.
- If you are not feeling well, please refrain from visiting.
- When there is a line at the register, please keep a distance of 1.5m between you and others.
・When coughing or sneezing, please practice good cough etiquette by covering your mouth and nose with a mask or handkerchief.

The space is set in a cafe located next to the park where the cafe wagon has arrived. It is separated from the takeout corner by walls and doors, allowing you to enjoy your meal in a calm atmosphere.
