A special day at Yoyogi Village! Mochi pounding competition, garage sale, eucalyptus and mimosa wreath making, and more!

Jan 8, 2017

The one-day-only special "GOOD SUNDAY MARKET" will be held on January 15th at Yoyogi VILLAGE by kurkku in Yoyogi, Tokyo.

"GOOD SUNDAY MARKET" is aimed at people who live in the city but still value nature. To celebrate the start of 2017, a "mochi-pounding competition" will be held, open to everyone, from children to adults. Everyone can enjoy pounding mochi and eat freshly made mochi on the spot. The events will be held at 2:00 PM, 2:30 PM, 3:00 PM, and 3:30 PM.

A variety of vendors will be participating this time, including Kotori Flower Shop, which sells bouquets, arrangements, and wreaths made with fresh seasonal flowers; temps des coloris, which offers sweets with the theme of "cute and delicious snacks for everyone"; and food kurkku, a new style of convenience store created in collaboration between Natural Lawson and Kurkku. In addition, Yoyogi Village staff will be holding a garage sale where they will be selling miscellaneous goods, clothes, wine, glasses, etc. From 2:30pm to 4pm, Kotori Flower Shop will be holding a workshop called "Eucalyptus and Mimosa New Year Wreath" (5,000 yen including tax) where you can make a New Year's wreath using eucalyptus and mimosa, which awaits the coming of spring.
