By stripping back the elements, fashion becomes silhouette.
Focusing on contours, playing with proportions,
renewing proportions.
Look from afar, peer up close, and scrutinize the details.

A perspective wardrobe: elongated, upright silhouettes. Daywear presented with solemn sophistication. Practicality. Blazers, coats, blouses, V-neck sweaters, cardigans, jeans, trousers. Long legs, high waists, compact busts. Pockets and slits invite the body into specific poses; gestures define the pieces.

A meditation on tension and the sensuality that breaks it. Textured knitwear: short, voluminous sweaters, long, enveloping capes, and flowing, chunky pullovers. Leather is tailored and envelopes the body like a skin: a sleek coat folded on one side and hanging from the arm like a bag, a T-shirt and shorts with a chewed-off hem.

Once again, the unexpected subverts things. Tops resemble shimmering brooches, feathers seem to vanish, and giant pins hold fabric in place. Artist Linda Benglis transforms rings, cuffs, brooches, earrings, and pendants into innovative pieces. Knotted, folded, and cast, they are created as wearable sculptures that reflect a changing world.

A muted color palette. Camel, gray, brown, black with red accents, bougainvillea, tangerine. Rounded toes, pointed mules, ergonomic shoes, schoolboy shoes. Buckles are scaled down or enlarged. Crafted from buttery leather, the bags are luxurious and fluid, speaking to a reductionist spirit.

Named for its seductive handle, the Squeeze bag is handcrafted from smooth Napa leather. The Pebble Bucket bag, featuring pebble-shaped metalware, is crafted from smooth, soft grained calfskin and comes in mini and medium sizes, each with a different attitude.

About the Artwork
This season, LOEWE continues its collaboration with artist Lynda Benglis, presenting a large-scale bronze sculpture as the setting for the show and alongside the jewellery they have co-developed.

Linda Benglis (born 1941 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, USA) is a giant of post-war American sculpture. Over her six-decade career, she has redefined the concept of the art object through constant innovation in form and material. Using a kinetic and physical approach to a wide range of materials, including polyurethane, latex, sparkle, paper, plaster, bronze, and water, Benglis has provocatively questioned our perception of sculpture.

Six large-scale bronze sculptures were selected for the runway show. These works were created by enlarging and casting a series of clay sculptures that Benglis himself calls "Elephant Necklaces." Each piece is a dynamic formation created by twisting and molding the soft, stretched clay shapes. Benglis has been working with clay since the early 1990s, and likens manipulating the material to dance. The enlargement technique vividly exaggerates the scars and marks left by the creative process. From polished bronze to matte black patina, the varying surfaces of the materials dramatically reflect light, creating a flowing visual effect.
