Beams Japan x ifs Future Research Institute presents a gift of Japan's future gods, inspired by the Seven Lucky Gods

Dec 5, 2016

Beams is collaborating with ifs Future Research Institute, a research institute of Itochu Fashion System Co., Ltd., to hold the "Japan's God Gifts" event at its Beams Japan store in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The event runs until December 25th.

"Oseibo," or year-end gifts, are a way of expressing gratitude for the past year, and are an important tradition passed down since ancient times among the Japanese. "Japan's God Gifts" was born after discussions between Beams and ifs Future Research Institute to see if they could cherish this sentiment while adding a playful touch and transforming it into a gift for the future.

Inspired by the Seven Gods of Fortune, who have brought auspiciousness to Japanese life, this collaboration proposes gifts related to the seven gods using carefully selected products from across Beams Japan. The lineup includes Beams Japan's "Crane and Turtle Bandana Zabuton," "Kendama Gold," Tanita's "Gold Body Composition Scale," Rocca Spiel's "Rocca Card Game," and Shin Yoshiwara's "Tenugui" hand towels. Original merchandise featuring the Seven Lucky Gods characters born from this collaboration is also on sale.

Why not give a lucky "divine" gift to someone who has helped you, wishing them happiness in the future?
