To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the birth of Lupin the Third, "Lupin Ristorante," a restaurant recreating the dishes Lupin enjoys, will open from February 22nd to 27th in the event hall on the 7th floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku. During the event, Lupin-related concept shops will be set up on each floor, selling special items featuring Lupin, Jigen, Fujiko Mine, and more.
"Lupin Ristorante" is set in a space reminiscent of Lupin's hideout, where you can enjoy Lupin's homemade dishes, drinks, and your favorite coffee. The recommended menu item is "Lupin's Homemade Potato Gnocchi with Special Bolognese Ragu Sauce" (3,600 yen), which Lupin created in the TV series "LUPIN the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine." The chewy gnocchi is intertwined with a red wine-based beef and porcini mushroom sauce. This generous portion is perfect for 2-3 people, and can be shared with a baguette.
The "Inspector Zenigata's Stakeout Hamburger" (1,800 yen), which satisfies Inspector Zenigata's hunger while on stakeout, is an authentic burger made with 100% beef patty, melted cheddar cheese, and sautéed mushrooms, for a deep flavor. The elaborate presentation includes a paper bag printed with the limited edition logo and a "thank you for your hard work" card written by Lupin to his grandfather. Other classic items on the menu include the nostalgic cafe staples "Even Lupin and the gang love it!? Neapolitan Spaghetti" (1,300 yen) and "Jigen's Hard-Boiled Beef Curry" (1,700 yen). There is also a wide selection of drinks available, including "Lupin's Coffee" (700 yen), an authentic drip coffee made with Santa Clara beans from Guatemala, inspired by the cup Lupin enjoys while relaxing in his hideout; "Lupin's Coffee Jelly" (880 yen), with the gentle sweetness of wasanbon syrup; and "Lupin's Jacket Color Cream Soda" (4 varieties, 880 yen each), inspired by the colors of the jackets worn by Lupin. Special items include Lupin III jackets, each tailored by four of Japan's leading tailors, featuring Lupin III's jackets from various periods, Estée Lauder lipstick (¥3,600 each), which Lupin III gifted to Fujiko Mine, and kimonos from Y. & Sons, a men's kimono tailoring shop in Kanda, Tokyo, inspired by Goemon's home. Other items include Riedel tumblers (five varieties, ¥6,000 each), and sweets such as shrimp and cheese rice crackers (¥1,200) and sables (¥1,400). Lupin Ristorante, recommended for Lupin fans and retro coffee shop lovers alike, is a reservation-only special event. Reservations will begin at 10:00 AM on February 1st. The seat reservation fee (¥2,000) includes an original Lupin III 50th anniversary plate, so if you're interested in the plate, make sure to make a reservation first. You can have a wonderful gourmet experience while immersing yourself in the world of Lupin.
