Isetan Shinjuku Main Store will hold a collaboration event with the anime "Lupin the Third," "ISETAN x Lupin the Third LUPINISSIMO IN ISETAN 2016," from February 3rd to 8th at the event space on the 7th floor of the main building.
The anime "Lupin the Third," set in the Republic of San Marino, Italy, is currently airing a new series on television (Nippon TV and Yomiuri TV) for the first time in 30 years, and is garnering attention. This collaboration between Lupin and Isetan will feature an area inspired by the Lupin gang's closet. Leading Japanese tailors, including Tailor & Cutter, Tailor Cade, and Lid Tailor, will showcase styling for anime characters Daisuke Jigen and Inspector Zenigata.
Tailor & Cutter will offer Lupin the Third-themed jackets (starting at 180,000 yen), pants (starting at 50,000 yen), and shirts (starting at 40,000 yen). Tailor Cade will be showcasing skinny-style suits (starting at ¥190,000) and shirts (starting at ¥40,000) inspired by Jigen, while Lid Tailor will be selling trench coats (starting at ¥260,000), suits (starting at ¥330,000), and shirts (starting at ¥40,000) inspired by Inspector Zenigata's iconic style. Additionally, Tagliatore will be releasing a double-breasted jacket (¥85,000) designed specifically for the event, inspired by the blue jacket worn by Lupin in the new TV series. The inside features gold buttons evoking treasure and Lupin's name. Kisaburo, the fourth-generation owner of Iwamoto Wasai, a 90-year-old tailor, will be showcasing a haori (¥110,000), kimono (¥60,000), and horse-riding hakama (¥90,000) inspired by Ishikawa Goemon. Kimonos in collaboration with Lupin III, Daisuke Jigen, Fujiko Mine, and Inspector Zenigata will also be available at the event. Mademoiselle TARA will be releasing a dress (49,000 yen) inspired by Rebecca, a character from the new TV series and the daughter of a prominent family in the Republic of San Marino. Additionally, during the event, a crane game figure of Fujiko Mine will be available in advance, and a signed work by the original author, Monkey Punch, featuring a giclee print of the key visual for the new TV series will also be on display. The store will also feature announcements by the voice actors, and a Fiat, Lupin III's beloved car, will be on display at the main entrance of the men's section.
