On January 23rd, Dries Van Noten held a show at the Paris Transport Authority (RATP) maintenance facility in the 15th arrondissement. Mixing various elements, including military, evening, and ethnic styles, the collection showcased men's tailored clothing in a multifaceted, layered style. Many pieces featured both dress-up and dress-down styles, and the background music was a cover of The Ronettes' "Be My Baby" by singer-songwriter DM Stith. Coats decorated with reflective stripes and blousons sewn with moire ribbons evoked workwear, suggesting unique styling by coordinating them with military-style shorts and kilts. The reversible coat, which can be fastened with a grosgrain belt, is made of quilted satin, giving it an ethnic feel.
Psychedelic prints and geometric embroidery inspired by motifs from the Miao people of China further enhanced the ethnic feel, and combined with tartan quilted skirts, the entire collection strongly felt the richness of its cultural mix.
