Key items in the "ReBURBERRY Edit" will be labeled with a special pistachio-colored label that details the strict standards set for the products, as well as the amount of organic or recyclable natural material used, the carbon emissions generated during production, and the wages and support provided to producers.
This is yet another example of Burberry's innovative history as an industry leader in the development of sustainable products.

Currently, two-thirds of all Burberry products contain at least one element that brings about positive change in terms of "sustainability." The company aims to have this applied to all products by 2022.
This season's "ReBurberry Edit" collection, which was launched as part of that effort, features trench coats, hoodies, capes, and accessories made from recycled nylon "ECONYL®," made from recycled fishing nets, fabric scraps, industrial plastics, etc., as well as the latest eyewear collection made from bio-acetate.

The parka and cape are produced in a factory that reduces energy and water usage, recycles materials, and manages the use of chemicals. Other outerwear items now use nylon made from renewable resources such as castor oil, and polyester made from plastic bottles.
It's worth keeping an eye on Burberry's future sustainable proposals.
Please note that Burberry stores in Japan are currently closed until May 6th following the declaration of a state of emergency by the Japanese government. You can shop with free shipping on the official website (burberry.com), so be sure to check it out.
