Isetan Shinjuku will be hosting "TOKYO Liberation Zone "Know" from February 26th to March 10th at TOKYO Closet/Re-Style TOKYO on the 2nd floor of the main building, where visitors can experience the philosophies of up-and-coming creators. Four noteworthy brands will be gathered.

"TOKYO Liberation Zone "Know" is an incubation project for new creators. The exhibition will introduce four brands that will grace the Tokyo fashion scene of the future: koll, RURI.W, SREU, and BELPER, with the theme of choosing clothes while feeling the thoughts behind the product by learning about the makers' philosophies and the background to their creations.
The main visual is a work by Maya Numata Graphic. During the exhibition, in addition to Maya Numata Graphic's artwork, accessories and vases, each named like the title of a story, will also be on sale.
 Cole
Cole
Tops (50,000 yen), Pants (60,000 yen)
Cole, created by female designer Mayu Kusuhara, is a women's brand that makes striking use of the color blue, and its collection is inspired by the clothes left over in one's mother's closet. This time, the brand has collaborated with ceramic artist nanakamio, who also makes striking use of blue, to produce ceramics such as vases baked with lace used in the collection.

 Ruri
Ruri
Tops (31,000 yen), Bottoms (29,000 yen)
Ruri is based on the concept of "connecting what has been passed down," and with designer Watanabe Ruri's grandfather as the muse this season, the brand is developing a collection that unravels the past and connects it to the future. This time, the brand has collaborated with accessory brand Lumi Gauche (lumgo,se) to develop earrings made from scraps and buttons from the collection.

 Sleu
Sleu
Denim jacket (36,000 yen)
Sleu launched in the Spring/Summer 2020 season. Rather than setting a seasonal theme, the brand is based on the concept of one-of-a-kind ready-to-wear clothing, aiming to create sustainable clothing based on remakes. For this project, they will be developing a collection using not only existing secondhand clothing, but also secondhand clothing from LACOSTE.
If you purchase one or more Sleu products during the event, you will receive a limited-edition invitation to the 2020 Fall/Winter collection show, which is scheduled to be held in March.
  Belper
Belper
Left: Jacket (43,000 yen), bottoms (39,000 yen)
Right: Tops (39,000 yen), bottoms (43,000 yen)
Belper, created by male designer Yuichi Ozaki, will be presenting a highly polished collection themed around the film The Great Gatsby.
During the event, the background to the collection will be on display, including design drawings, portfolios, and items that inspired the creations, allowing visitors to get a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes of each brand's creations. In addition, each brand will take turns taking charge of a close-up each day, expressing their respective worldview. Cole will be the first to display its decorations, and with the concept of "a place where flowers and you meet," Gui Flower, who works on the theme of "fashion x flowers," will also participate in the decorations, adding color to the designer's worldview. The close-up dates are "Cole x Nanaka Mio x Gui Flower" from February 26th to 29th, "Ruri x Rumi Gaucher" from March 1st to 3rd, and "Belper" from March 4th to 10th.
Interview articles that delve deeper into the philosophy of each brand are currently available on the official website of Isetan Shinjuku.

In addition, to coincide with this project, a limited-edition TOKYO Kaihoku logo designed by Maya Numata Graphics will also be on display. During the event, if you log in to the Mitsukoshi Isetan app and show the coupon screen to in-store staff, you will also receive a limited number of "TOKYO Kaihoku" logo stickers.
TOKYO Kaihoku continues to share new values and events that are "seasonal" in "now" and "Tokyo" with the world from its own unique perspective. Until August 2019, it was a permanent store, but was reborn as a project starting with this project. Through content based on a variety of themes, we aim to inspire people to "live life with joy" by sharing the "philosophy" and "process" of various phenomena.
