Send your thoughts this holiday season with Isetan Mitsukoshi's "Christmas Movie Cards"

The Mitsukoshi Isetan Group is currently holding its "Christmas Campaign 2019" to wish for a wonderful future and a merry Christmas.

As part of the campaign, "Christmas Movie Cards" will be available for a limited time from December 4th, allowing you to create and send a one-of-a-kind original digital greeting card. Using your photo, you, your family, or your pet will appear as the main character in a movie that will deliver an important message accompanied by famous classical music.

The movie card features an original story set in the slightly mysterious world of "Christmas Village," where the future and nostalgia blend together.

Christmas Village is home to a diverse cast of unique residents, including a flying Santa Claus and a kind-hearted robot tree, as they celebrate the long-awaited Christmas. They all exchange the greeting, "MERRY FUTURE!" It's a motto for the future, filled with the hope that the excitement and warm feelings of caring that Christmas evokes will continue forever.

The illustrations were created by Gerard Dubois, who is known for his classic touch and witty style that is rich and warm. The logo and motif design was done by Paris-based graphic designer Benoît Bergé, who transforms traditional elements into a modern style with a refined sense. Both are notable French artists active internationally.

Unique Characters Decorate Movie Cards

Movie Cards feature the unique residents of Christmas Village.

Characters like the "Snowman" who gently falls snow, the "Gentle Fir Tree" with mechanical limbs, and the "Merry Toys" in their tin cars appear in the movie. They race around Christmas Village and deliver messages.

How do I create a Movie Card?

It's very easy to use. You can use it for free by simply installing the Mitsukoshi Isetan app and completing your membership registration.

Go to the movie card creation screen on the "Christmas Campaign 2019" website. Choose one of the three residents of Christmas Village and overlay your favorite photo on their face to create a movie.

By overlaying your own face, you can become a character running around the sky and snow of Christmas Village delivering a message. You might also want to choose a photo of your beloved pet or a photo or illustration that you think the recipient will enjoy.

The background music features three carefully selected pieces from Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker" from Universal Music's "100 Classical Albums" series. The "Snowman" features a floral waltz, the "Gentle Fir" features a Chinese dance, and the "Merry Toys" features a march, adding a touch of elegance to the message.

The video you create can be shared on social media, making it easy to send. This is a great opportunity to send a bold message not only to close friends and people you've always cared for, but also to that person you find it difficult to express your feelings to face-to-face, or someone you've recently become a little out of touch with.

Sending a Christmas party invitation with a movie card will get both the sender and the recipient in the holiday spirit.
