On December 5th, the new Tokyu Plaza Shibuya will hold its grand opening in the commercial facility zone of Shibuya Fukuras, a new shopping mall opening at the west exit of Shibuya Station. A total of 69 stores will open, based on the concept of "Shibuya as a place for adults to have fun."

Shibuya Fukuras is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2019 as a result of the redevelopment of the former Tokyu Plaza Shibuya in front of Shibuya Station and the adjacent blocks. Tokyu Plaza Shibuya will open on the second to eighth, 17th and 18th floors of the shopping mall zone.

Based on the concept of "Shibuya where adults can have fun," the mall proposes a lifestyle targeted at adults, even in Shibuya, which has a strong image as a "city for young people." 69 attractive stores will be gathered together, focusing on the keywords of "food," "health," "beauty," "hobbies," and "life plans," which are of great interest to urban adults with mature sensibilities.

Entrance
On the 17th floor, there will be a rooftop garden called "SHIBU NIWA," which offers a panoramic view of the city of Shibuya. Additionally, on the 17th and 18th floors, CÉ LA VI, the globally acclaimed entertainment restaurant chain that has opened on the rooftop of Singapore's Marina Bay Sands, will be making its Japan debut. The 17th floor will feature the cafe and bar "BAO by CÉ LA VI" and the lounge "CÉ LA VI CLUB LOUNGE." On the 18th floor, the fine dining "CÉ LA VI RESTAURANT & SKY BAR" will create a social space for sophisticated and sophisticated adults.

SHIBU NIWA

On the second floor, which serves as the entrance to the facility, BEAMS, the select shop founded in Shibuya Ward, will open its first store in the Shibuya area, "BEAMS JAPAN," which curates and disseminates various content with "Japan" as its keyword, as well as four other stores, including "AKOMEYA TOKYO," which will also house the new business concept of "AKOMEYA Shokudo." The store will offer souvenirs that can only be found here, as well as the fun and joy of discovering Japanese fine products and culture, and the communication that will result from this. Urban Core

The third floor will feature 19 stores offering items unique to discerning adults and discerning shoppers, something you wouldn't expect to find in Shibuya. Long-established, renowned stores such as Nihonbashi Kiya, a 227-year-old cutlery maker, and Katayama Bunzaburo Shoten, a Kyoto shop offering "wearable art" using traditional tie-dyeing techniques, are opening their first stores in the Shibuya area. The same floor will also feature a pop-up space that will feature a monthly rotation of select stores selling lesser-known items from Japan and abroad. The space will offer the joy of new discoveries and a place where you can find your own unique creations. The fourth floor will be home to 17 stores supporting beauty and health. Rohto Pharmaceutical will open the Rohto Quality Aging Salon, which will address aging concerns through a three-pronged approach: eye care, skin care, and inner care. Hatsuko Endo will also open a concept shop offering the latest products professionally selected and personalized salon menus. Shibuya Grand Shokudo The sixth and seventh floors are home to Shibuya Grand Shokudo, a Shibuya favorite. The sixth floor will feature 13 stores, offering a casual atmosphere for Shibuya's sophisticated customers, setting it apart from the typical Shibuya street-level establishments. Famous restaurants beloved by many at the old Tokyu Plaza Shibuya, such as "Sasashigure Tsukiji Tamazushi" and "Unagi Shibuya Matsukawa," will be revived, along with many new businesses, some opening for the first time in Tokyo and the Shibuya area, such as "Teuchi Soba Takenouchi," which serves carefully crafted soba noodles handmade by artisans every day, and "Kyoto Uji Fujii Myoen," which serves meals that allow you to enjoy the flavor of tea leaves from "Kyoto Uji Fujii Tea Garden," which has a history of over 480 years in Uji, Kyoto, as well as sweets made with Uji matcha.

The 7th floor will have a different atmosphere from the 6th floor, with a selection of renowned restaurants offering a relaxing dining experience in a calm space not often seen in Shibuya until now. Five restaurants will be opening, including Kyoto Hyoto, which will be opening its first store in Tokyo and will serve Kyoto-born dashi shabu-shabu in a dignified, modern Japanese space, as well as other carefully selected restaurants perfect for special occasions such as three-generation dinners or corporate dinners.

In addition, the all-day dining bar and music lounge "GRAND SESSION" will open in the open atrium connecting the 6th and 7th floors. This will be a space where you can enjoy music, art, and other culture along with your meal.

GRAND SESSION
In addition, the fifth floor will be home to Shibuya Life Lounge, a new and innovative service floor designed to help adults live life to the fullest in an era of 100-year lifespans. In the center of the floor will be Pepper PARLOR, a cafe created by SoftBank Robotics for the first time, embodying a society where humans and robots live and work together. The eight stores will offer solutions to everything from minor concerns that customers may not have known where to turn to, to high-quality solutions from professionals.

The commercial environment design will be handled by Yasumichi Morita, a designer at GLAMOROUS co.,ltd., who is active both domestically and internationally. Based on the design concept of "Station of Life," the building was designed to be a place where mature adults can talk about their lives so far and discover new dreams for their future.
