On March 4th, Hotman will release a collaborative collection with illustrator Buggy on the 5th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store. Founded in 1868, Hotman is a "Tokyo-born towel" brand that produces 100% domestically produced items. The brand's signature "One-Second Towel" is particularly well-known for its absorbency, which begins to sink in less than one second. Because it absorbs moisture simply by touching it to the skin, it's ideal for sensitive skin, hair, and babies. This collection is the first in a series of projects under the concept of "D WANDERLUST," launched by Hotman with the goal of "making your home look like a designer hotel." The "D" in the project name stands for design, and "wanderlust" evokes wanderlust and a desire to travel. The collection aims to add a touch of style to everyday items, creating a hotel-like experience at home. The lineup includes bath towels (7,000 yen), face towels (2,500 yen), and washcloths (1,200 yen) that have been certified as "1-Second Towels," as well as robes (26,000 yen), turbans (3,000 yen), and room shoes (7,000 yen). The striking design features colorful, vibrant flowers floating against a white background. Baggy, the designer for this collection, is an illustrator who won the UNIQLO CREATIVE AWARD 2007 Amano Yoshitaka Award in 2007. He has worked on design work for magazines such as Numero TOKYO and Vogue JAPAN, CD jackets, and T-shirt designs for famous brands.
