Adidas announces collaboration with five designers including Junichi Abe of kolor and Stella

Feb 24, 2015

Adidas has announced a limited release of a capsule collection based on its Ultra Boost running shoe in collaboration with five designers in June.

This collection, Ultra Boost Collective, is a model that crystallizes BOOST technology, which combines high levels of cushioning and rebound. By incorporating advanced fit technology such as Primeknit, a shoe that enables unprecedented running comfort has been born.

The brand's creative directors, Dirk Schonberger and James Caan, designed a sleek, minimalist monochrome shoe in all-white and all-black. Stella McCartney has crafted a pair of shoes using fabrics with her signature feminine tones and sophisticated textures.

Meanwhile, for the first time in a collaboration with Adidas, Kris Van Assche has reflected his unique spirit in a playful argyle pattern. Junichi Abe of kolor has chosen citrus colors such as orange, lime green, and lemon yellow to create a pop design.

The collection will be sold in limited quantities worldwide from June through the end of the year. To commemorate the release, events will be held in London, Paris, Berlin, and Tokyo, where each creator is based.
