adidas Originals unveiled its collaborative collection with music producer Kanye West, "YEEZY SEASON 1," at New York Fashion Week on February 12th. West's goal for this collection was to design high-quality apparel pieces that could be mixed and matched. Inspired by West's personal style, the collection features loose, oversized tops and slim-fitting pants. The collection's modern style highlights the contrast between streetwear and luxury, vintage and new collections. The men's lineup includes an MA-2 bomber jacket with oversized flap pockets, a washed cotton collarless blouson jacket, and oversized sweatshirts with a finished finish. Fitted T-shirts are available in a variety of colors, including camel, olive, blue-gray, and camouflage. All items are unisex. The women's lineup includes a high-waisted, knee-length, body-conscious knit skirt, a floor-length cotton tube dress, and a fitted t-shirt. By emphasizing the curves of a woman's silhouette, the collection expresses a new femininity. West developed the footwear with the full cooperation of Adidas' product team. The collection includes low-top sneakers for men and suede stiletto heels and wedge-soled snow boots for women. The collection will be released globally during the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter season. The first release, the "YEEZY BOOST" (45,000 yen), will be released in Japan on February 28th. The silhouette proposes the next trend in sneaker fashion, and the model incorporates Adidas' "BOOST" technology, providing both cushioning and responsiveness.
