A fragrance gallery featuring niche fragrances from around the world is currently being held in the promotional space on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building. The gallery runs until March 3rd.
This event is a collaboration with TRANSIT, a travel culture magazine that travels the world in search of beautiful landscapes and people. It features authentic "niche fragrances" that value their brands and products and are particular about their fragrances and blends. Along with photos of cities around the world taken by TRANSIT, the gallery aims to evoke the exotic atmosphere of each country through their scents.
The gallery connects "travel and scent" through a space decorated with photos of four unique cities: Amsterdam in the Netherlands; Istanbul in Turkey; St. Petersburg in Russia; and Buenos Aires in Argentina. The gallery's aim is to encourage visitors to choose a fragrance to suit the occasion, mood, and situation, just as if they were wearing an accessory, with the same casual feel as if they were setting off on a trip. The fragrances are selected from 11 brands available on the first and eighth floors of the Men's Building. The space will feature fragrances tailored to the image of each city, such as IL PROFVMO's Musk Blue, a translucent fragrance that blends seamlessly with the scenery of Amsterdam as a pleasant breeze passes by. For Istanbul, Penhaligon's Hamman Bouquet, with its mellow Turkish rose scent, is a striking choice. FREDERIC MALLE's bold and passionate tuberose scent is a fitting match for the vibrant city of Buenos Aires. Lorenzo Villoresi's Tendoneige, symbolizing the powdery, pure color of snow that symbolizes the beautiful, white snowfall of St. Petersburg, is also featured. Custom fragrances named after cities will also be available. During the event, on the 22nd and 23rd, perfumer Mirko Buffini from MIRKO BUFFINI FIRENZE, an Italian fragrance brand that debuted in 2013, will be visiting the store to provide a sales consultation. Additionally, on the 28th and March 1st, a fragrance ordering event will be held with Japanese perfumer Hideshi Matsuno. This service will ask customers about their preferences and create a fragrance on the spot, with an original blend fragrance (50ml/10,000 yen) being prepared in about two weeks.
