Tsuchiya Kaban x Transit release "Brazil" themed travel bag

Jun 10, 2014

Tsuchiya Kaban Seisakusho will be releasing a limited-edition flap-style traveler's shoulder bag (¥39,000) in collaboration with TRANSIT, a travel culture magazine published quarterly, on June 24th. The design is themed around "Brazil," a theme featured in the June issue of the magazine, and comes in earth brown. The interior features Amazonian birds and other flora and fauna, while the shoulder strap and tag incorporate Brazilian colors like canary yellow, a reference to the country's flag. Designed for strolling around town, the bag's compact design accommodates small items like a camera and guidebook, and includes a locked pocket for valuables like a passport and wallet. For security reasons, the gusset extends all the way to the base of the flap, making it difficult for someone to reach in through the gaps when the bag is closed. The leather is made of smooth, oil-dyed tanned leather, and the fabric is astringent-dyed washed canvas.
