The artist duo magma, comprised of Jun Sugiyama and Kenichi Miyazawa, will be holding a new exhibition, "magma Exhibition 'Worst Destiny'," at Gallery VOILLD in Nakameguro, Tokyo, from March 21st to April 5th. Magma, a duo of artists, has expressed their unique worldview through store fixtures, music video sets, artwork, and original products. Their work includes the interior design of Keisukekanda's flagship store, "Keisukekanda to Shinjuku," accessories for FACETASM, and the robot featured in the music video for Kaela Kimura's hit song "WONDER volt." They also collaborated with FACETASM to open a pop-up shop at the Isetan Shinjuku store. This event will be Magma's first exhibition of new work in a long time, focusing on the present. The exhibition will showcase their works, created using everyday items once discarded, such as toys and scrap materials. The exhibition evokes a unique world reminiscent of words like punk, pop, and funky, and is unforgettable once you see it. Additionally, a special event titled "Flame and Magma's Carnival↑?" will be held from 7 PM to 10 PM on March 28th, where limited-edition food by Symbol Pan will be sold. Additionally, the venue will be selling a limited edition of 500 copies of "mag(m)azine," an 80-page booklet showcasing Magma's works, illustrations, and even the production process. Official merchandise exclusive to the exhibition will also be on sale. Keisuke Kanda, head of Keisuke Kanda, said, "The things magma creates are amazing because they combine the shock of never having seen anything like it with a nostalgia reminiscent of childhood memories. That's why I love them so much."
