SAUNA FES JAPAN 2019, one of Japan's largest sauna events, will be held for three days from September 21st to 23rd at Finland Village in Koumi Town, Nagano Prefecture. Renowned Japanese sauna enthusiasts, sauna brands, and sauna-related companies will all gather together.

SAUNA FES JAPAN began as a small-scale event at Finland Village on March 7th, 2015 (Sauna Day), where members of the Finnish Sauna Club (FSC) enjoyed an authentic sauna experience. This year, with the unprecedented global sauna boom, the event will be extended to three days for the first time, and the venue will be expanded to accommodate as many sauna enthusiasts as possible. The event will take place at Finland Village, located on the lakeside overlooking Nagano's Yatsugatake Mountains. Surrounded by nature on all sides, the cool, tranquil environment, surrounded by trees, sky, and lakes, is the epitome of Finland in Japan. The venue will feature more than 10 different types of saunas, including an authentic log cabin with sauna imported directly from Finland, a wood-fired sauna kota, Japan's first mobile wood-fired sauna car in the outdoor area, and a tent sauna. Tickets are limited to 200 per day, for a total of 600 people. Applications for the lottery will be accepted on the official website (http://www.saunafesjapan.com) from 3:07 PM on August 10th to 3:07 PM on August 25th. This year, for the first time, official bus tour tickets will also be on sale at the same time. Because it is necessary to take trains, buses, and taxis to get to the site from Tokyo, bus tour tickets will be sold to a limited number of 40 people. A sauna guide will also be on board the bus to teach people how to enjoy the sauna.
From the sauna search site "Saunaikitai," to the Finnish Embassy in Japan, and the Finnish Tourist Board, various organizations shaping the future of saunas in Japan have come together with a passionate desire to "spread the benefits of Finnish saunas." Why not become immersed in the charm of saunas at this event?
