Yokohama Oktoberfest 2019, a Yokohama autumn tradition, is being held in the Event Plaza at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse for a total of 17 days from October 4th to 20th.

Oktoberfest is the world's largest beer festival, held in Munich, Germany since 1810. This event has been held since 2003 at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, a historic building that incorporates some German architectural styles, allowing visitors to enjoy an Oktoberfest atmosphere as close as possible to the authentic German style. Last year, over 130,000 people attended the event.
This year marks the 18th time the event has been held, and it will be divided into two venues: the first venue, which will be centered around a large tent where a German orchestra will perform, and the second venue, where you can enjoy a different atmosphere from the large tent.

More than 100 types of beer will be available, including beers from Feldschlöchen, whose brewery is located in Germany's most beautiful Elbe Valley, and Egelea, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, making their Japan debut, as well as limited-edition festbier created specifically for Oktoberfest. The menu also offers a wide variety of authentic dishes, including classic sausages and hearty meat dishes.

In addition, this year we are offering vegetable dishes that go well with beer, as well as sets that allow you to enjoy beer casually. You can choose a dish that goes well with beer from a wide variety of menus, such as dishes using autumn vegetables, pot-au-feu, and ajillo, depending on your mood. Additionally, a "Little Beer Set" will be available for a limited time on weekdays, featuring a mini beer and snacks. Perfect for those who want to casually sip small sips or enjoy a variety of drinks.

This year, a new "PUB" will be opened in the second venue, where you can casually enjoy a drink while standing, providing a space where you can chat casually with anyone. Even those who don't like beer can enjoy it, as there is a full lineup of non-beer drinks, such as cocktails and sours.
Other events include a "Seat Reservation Service" that allows you to reserve seats in the venue on weekday evenings (excluding Fridays), a "Happy Birthday Campaign" that celebrates birthdays with live music from a German orchestra, and a campaign where you can enter a lottery to win free admission during the period by following the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse's official Twitter account (@yokohamaredbric) and retweeting the campaign's announcement tweet. Details will be announced on the special website (https://www.yokohama-akarenga.jp/oktoberfest/) at a later date.
The shops and restaurants in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Buildings 1 and 2 will be holding an in-house linked campaign from September 21st to October 20th. Each store will offer "German and beer" items and "recommended autumn products." There will also be a scratch card campaign from October 4th to 20th.
