DIESEL BLACK GOLD presented its Fall/Winter 2015-16 collection in New York on February 17th. Creative Director Andreas Melbostad portrayed a bold and courageous woman who freely expresses her inner femininity. Layering was the key word. Ribbed sweatshirts with V-necks, asymmetrical armholes, and dress hems reveal delicate lingerie-inspired lace and straps, creating a sexy and seductive look. High-waisted, belted dresses and jackets, as well as fit-and-flare skirts, emphasize the feminine silhouette. Meanwhile, boxy jackets and oversized coats, likened to men's clothing, also made an appearance. The collection portrayed a woman who possesses the strength and confidence to survive in the modern world, a contrast to her delicate and fragile side. The industrial metal studs and lace-up details on the hem of the dress are still there. This season, Diesel's signature denim is subtly asserted with a damask motif jacquard and brocade on a base of indigo blue and black.
