Fendi unveils tiny Peekaboo at Shinjuku Isetan

Feb 22, 2015

2015 marks the 50th anniversary of Fendi's arrival in Japan. To commemorate this, an anniversary event will be held at The Stage on the first floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku, focusing on the brand's iconic PEEKABOO bag. Five sizes of PEEKABOO, including men's, will be available in a wide variety of colors, adding a vibrant touch to the storefront. The event will run from March 11th to 17th. One of the highlights will be the miniature MICRO PEEKABOO, measuring just 11.5 x 15 x 5.2 cm (8 colors available, 161,000 yen). This item is representative of this season's trendy compact bag, which can be carried like an accessory. Not only is it cute, but it's also beautifully crafted and sure to attract attention on the streets.

Special models of the Micro Peekaboo, exclusive to Isetan, will be available, including a smoky pink mink model (353,000 yen) and a python model (279,000 yen). A yellow mink model (353,000 yen) and a glittering, high-rise model adorned with jewels (353,000 yen) will also be available for pre-sale at the event.

Of course, the regular-sized Peekaboo (508,000 yen) will also be available. The lineup includes the Japan-exclusive color "Royal Blue x Powder Pink." This model was also used in the Peekaboo advertising visuals, whose title is written by calligrapher Kinoshita Mariko, and it looks like it could be used as a key element in any styling.
