DIESEL BLACK GOLD, designed by Andreas Melbostad, presented its Fall/Winter 2015-16 men's collection in Milan. This season, the brand focuses on traditional British tailoring and youth subculture, proposing a mixed style that blends contrasting elements through materials and techniques. The brand's iconic denim pieces are given a refined look, despite being subjected to harsh treatments such as washing, coating, destruction, and repair using zippers. They complement punkish signature pieces such as trench coats with industrial zippers, jackets adorned with military-style patches and pins, and rider jackets with screws, as well as well-tailored jackets, striped blazers reminiscent of British uniforms, and rugby sweatshirts. The cultural mix is also expressed through layering. Single-breasted or military jackets are worn with a crisply collared shirt and a zip-up quilted down jacket. Furthermore, even heavy leather coats and riders jackets covered in screws are worn with gingham, tartan or tattersall shirts as innerwear, giving off a somewhat traditional vibe. A tweed riders jacket is also paired with a denim shirt for a more casual look. There are many ways to combine contrasting elements.
The colors available are black, navy, indigo, charcoal, military green and wine red, giving the look an overall dusty and subdued feel.
