Tiffany & Co. to hold exhibition of classic watch archives at Ginza flagship store to celebrate the release of the new "CT60" watch

May 1, 2015

To celebrate the release of its new watch collection, the Tiffany & Co. CT60, the brand will hold a watch archive exhibition titled "The Making of the New York Minute: Supreme Timepieces from the Tiffany Archives." The exhibition will run from May 22nd to May 31st in the gallery space on the third floor of its Ginza flagship store, showcasing precious timepieces that tell the story of Tiffany's watchmaking history spanning more than 165 years. The most notable piece is the gold watch favored by the 32nd US President, Franklin Roosevelt, which was also worn at the Yalta Conference in 1945. Its body lines, which showcase Tiffany's reliable craftsmanship and sophisticated design, served as the inspiration for the new Tiffany CT60 watch, which was announced by Tiffany in April.
>
The exhibition will also feature valuable items that tell the history of Tiffany watchmaking, such as highly functional hunter-case pocket watches made in the mid- to late 19th century, artistic watches exhibited at the New York, Paris, and Chicago World's Fairs, and an Art Deco diamond cocktail watch from around 1930.
