Tiffany & Co. is pleased to present "Bird on a Pearl," a high jewelry capsule collection that reinterprets the iconic "Bird on a Rock" brooch with the world's rarest pearls. Schlumberger's signature "Bird on a Rock" brooch, created in 1965, features a charming bird resting on a gemstone, and its enchanting design has been transformed into an exquisite piece featuring natural saltwater pearls. Sourced from the Gulf region and acquired from the private collection of Hussein Al Fardan, these pearls are prized for their size, shape and unparalleled brilliance. The collection debuted this month at a special event in Doha, Qatar.

"Bird on a Pearl" Necklace: Natural saltwater white-cream pearls (over 316 carats total), diamonds, pink sapphires, platinum, and 18K yellow gold
The collection's highlight is a three-strand necklace featuring graduated natural saltwater white-cream pearls. A stunning array of baroque, button, and near-round pearls breathes new life into the iconic brooch. The necklace weighs more than 316 carats in total. Additionally, pendants, earrings, and rings embody Jean Schlumberger's aesthetic through rare natural saltwater pearls in dark gray, gray, light cream, light pink-brown, and white.

Hussein Al Fardan is an expert with centuries of knowledge about natural pearls from the Gulf region. These pearls are recognized as some of the most beautiful and exquisite in the world. It takes more than 20 years to craft a necklace from natural pearls from this region, which are uniform in size, shape and luster. His private collection of natural pearls is the largest in the Gulf region. For this special collection, he was given the rare opportunity to open his doors to Tiffany, among many other high jewelers, and offer his carefully selected pearls.
