The event was held in conjunction with Tiffany's special private performance, "A Theater Event to Celebrate the Opening of Tiffany & Co. Ginza," which was held to add luster to the "June Grand Kabuki," the name-taking performance of Onoe Kikugoro VIII and Onoe Kikunosuke VI of the prestigious Edo Kabuki school, Otowaya. It is an initiative that precedes the grand opening of Tiffany & Co. Ginza on July 11, 2025, and is an homage to Japanese culture.

In addition, to coincide with the name succession performance, a celebratory curtain featuring "Kiku Fuji Akebono" (Chrysanthemum and Fuji at Dawn), an original painting by Japanese painter Noriko Okawara, was donated. The curtain depicts chrysanthemum flowers and the rising sun against a background that gradients from classic Tiffany Blue to a deep blue that symbolizes a new era.

After completing one night of a special private performance by Tiffany, Onoe Kikugoro VIII said, "The Tiffany blue lanterns are a first in history, and they were truly beautiful. The celebratory curtain presented to us by Tiffany has given us courage every day this month, and it has motivated me to become like the large chrysanthemum depicted on it. Today was a happy day, as I received so much warm support from everyone."
