In the spring of 2015, select shop Strasburgo launched a new project, "Salon de Strasburgo." The project offers a "playground for adults" where visitors can enjoy fashion, art, music, and other aspects of real life with a rich sense of aesthetics. The project kicked off on March 27 with a private fashion show in the Andaz Sky Suite at the Andaz Tokyo hotel in Toranomon Hills, Tokyo. The spacious 125-square-meter room, with its large glass windows, offered panoramic views of Tokyo, including Tokyo Tower, the Imperial Palace, and Roppongi. The show opened with a top and skirt look by Cedric Charlier, followed by elegant models wearing sophisticated pieces such as bright red dresses by Giambattista Valli, bags by MARK CROSS, and jewelry by Simon Alcantara.
Styling was handled by fashion director and stylist Shimazu Yoshiyuki. Guests enjoyed champagne and finger food while listening to music selected by DJ and music producer Matsuura Toshio, creating a relaxing atmosphere that made them forget the hustle and bustle of the city.
Upcoming events include an evening spent listening to live music at the rooftop bar and "the SUSHI" on the 52nd floor of the hotel, preferential treatments for "AO spa treatments" as a members-only benefit at "Andaz AO Spa" on the 37th floor, and "Fashion meets Art Book Installation with Aiko Fukui," an installation featuring items selected by young art curator Aiko Fukui, which will run from May 2nd to 10th at the Strasburgo Minami Aoyama store and from May 17th to 24th at the Tokyo Midtown store. Salon de Strasburgo Vol. 2, leading up to the 2015-16 AW season, is also scheduled to be held in early September.
