Fendi to hold "Fendi Craft" exhibition where customers can experience fur technology

Apr 4, 2019
FENDI will host "FENDI CraFF," an exhibition offering a hands-on experience of the Maison's carefully handed-down fur techniques, from April 4th to 17th at the BA-TSU ART GALLERY in Omotesando, Tokyo. The exhibition, which first opened in October 2018 at the Palazzo d'Arte Italiana, where Fendi is based, will be held in Japan for the first time. Artisans from Fendi's Rome atelier will make a special visit to Japan to create one-of-a-kind pieces on-site, showcasing their bold creativity, innovation, and boundless heritage. As the only luxury brand with its own in-house fur atelier, Fendi will demonstrate true craftsmanship in an entirely new way.

The entire wall of the venue will be decorated with graffiti art. Skilled fur artisans will use discarded materials to create one-of-a-kind fur tablets inspired by graffiti art. The venue will also feature a giant artwork created specially for the venue by AIKO, a New York-based Japanese artist who is active worldwide in the contemporary street art world, based on the theme of Roman lovers and the energy of the streets. There will also be interactive digital content where you can experience your own portrait rendered in fur graffiti. Visitors can experience one-of-a-kind fur graffiti and share it on social media.
