Tiffany & Co. announced the acquisition of the final, extraordinary collection of rare pink diamonds from Australia's now-closed Argyle diamond mine. Located in the eastern Kimberley region of Western Australia, this famed mine was virtually the world's only source of pink diamonds and operated from 1983 until November 2020. While the mine closed, it retained a small number of rough diamonds from its final mining period. In early 2022, Argyle approached Tiffany & Co. to offer this unique collection of stunning diamonds exclusively to Tiffany. This marks the first time that Argyle has offered an extraordinary collection named in honor of a jeweler, positioning Tiffany & Co. as the world's purveyor of coveted creations and unparalleled diamonds.

“Tiffany & Co. is proud to present the world’s first Tiffany & Co.-branded gemstones, a world-class jewellery collection that is a world leader in the luxury and luxury industry,” said Victoria Worth Reynolds, Tiffany & Co.’s Chief Gemologist.

Rio Tinto Chief Executive Sinead Kaufman added:

Due to the unique combination of extreme pressure and temperature required to form, these diamonds typically weigh well under one carat. However, among the 35 Argyle Pink Diamonds acquired by Tiffany, there are some extremely rare diamonds exceeding one carat. And each diamond belongs to the Argyle Pink Diamond family. This exceptional collection comes with both a Tiffany Diamond Certificate and an Argyle Pink Diamond Certificate.
