For designer Joaquín Berao, who says, "Nature is my greatest teacher," the genius architect Antoni Gaudí, also of Spanish origin, was a pioneer in finding beauty in nature, and Joaquín has always been fascinated by Gaudí's creations.

More than 100 years ago, Gaudí was always ahead of his time, designing architecture and urban spaces while pursuing sustainability. His perspective was sharpened by his relentless attention to natural forms, a trait that has been passed down through the generations within Joaquin. Joaquin himself observed the structural forms that exist in nature and applied these laws to his small, man-made structures—jewelry—that he creates himself. "All beauty in the universe comes from nature," is the belief of designer Joaquín Berao.

The new "GAUDI Collection," a homage to Gaudí, emanates a more artistic quality and a compelling presence. The collection avoids the use of straight lines and right angles, which do not exist in nature, and is characterized by a succession of motifs evoking fractals and organic forms that exude a sensual mood.

The collection images were shot by fellow Spanish photographer Pia Riverola. Her nostalgic style evokes the warmth of human skin and reflects her respect for nature and a life that is constantly accompanied by travel. This is the very essence of designer Joaquín Berao's style. Pia's distinctive "color" is also an important element. They came across Pia's colors when they were searching for a new form of expression that would break away from the image of silver and gold jewelry, which tends to have an inorganic background. Joaquín and Pia share a love of nature. The vibrant colors of Mexico's natural surroundings highlight the silver jewelry, creating a powerful and beautiful world never before seen.
