The "Asakusa 1-11-1 Exhibition," a joint exhibition by organizer Yamada Risako and the 12 cutting-edge artists she has brought together, is running until March 28th.

The exhibition, set in a building in Asakusa that is soon to be demolished, brings together artists from a variety of genres, including paintings, sculptures, photography, calligraphy, performance, dance, ghost stories, and readings. Each of the 13 artists will vividly take over each floor of the building using their own unique style of expression.
The participating artists are Yamada Risako, Ikeda Hilari, runurunu, TakaKono, Shimizu Dancer shimizumash, apsushusei, Komiya Marina, Yamazaki Kanae, Idenoshita Takahiro, Cleopatra Hasegawa Yuki/Ennui, Tanaka Zouu, and Matayoshi Naoki, a total of 13 people.

Director Yamada Risako is an independent artist who confronts her own body and sexuality, and expresses those thoughts through art. In the past, she worked as an assistant at GARTER (now closed), a shop in Koenji, Tokyo that was known to have attracted the attention of Lady Gaga, and she also studied art in New York.

Yamada has set the following concept for the exhibition:

A building that has long supported the lives of the people of the downtown area.
As the Heisei era draws to a close, don't miss this celebration by 13 cutting-edge artists who will vividly decorate the building that will soon be gone.

I only have a few days left to live in this building. Soon, the building where I grew up and grew up will be destroyed by someone else. Before that happens, Yamada will invade the building. With 12 people who Yamada has chosen to work with.
A building that has long supported the lives of the people of the downtown area.
