MUJI's "Discovery Festival," showcasing the new appeal of MUJI, will be held at 11 large stores nationwide from May 8th to 21st.
The "Discovery Festival" will introduce MUJI's "POOL" initiative, launched in 2014, and sell limited-edition items. MUJI has long been committed to solving various problems in daily life and society through design, in addition to providing product services. POOL uses the power of design to add new value to products that are no longer suitable for sale due to damage or stains during distribution, as well as offcuts and scraps generated during production, to create new items.
At this "Discovery Festival," POOL will release limited-edition seat cushion covers. These items are made using fabric scraps from mina perhonen, as well as from Japan's textile-producing regions of Kurume, Fukuoka, and Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi. Available in six varieties, they will be sold as a set with MUJI's "Urethane Foam Memory Foam Molded Seat Cushion" (5,000 yen including tax).
Available at 11 stores: MUJI Yurakucho Store, Ikebukuro Seibu Store, Shibuya Seibu Store, Marui Kichijoji Store, Terrace Mall Shonan Store, Grand Front Osaka Store, Namba Store, AEON Mall KYOTO, MUJI Canal City Hakata Store, Tenjin Daimyo Store, and Nagoya Meitetsu Department Store.
