On January 17, 2023, Saint Laurent presented its Winter 2023 men's collection at the Bourse de Commerce, a contemporary art museum in Paris that has been much talked about for its design by Tadao Ando.

The latest collection, which can be considered a sequel to the previous season, expresses Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello's evolved vision in the grand hall of the Bourse de Commerce - Pinault Collection, a contemporary art museum housed in the former stock exchange. Since its founding, Saint Laurent has had a close relationship with art.
Japanese architect Tadao Ando's radical "structure within a structure" provided a natural backdrop for tonight's streamlined and intimate presentation.

The gleaming concrete column echoes the luminous circular object that was the centerpiece of the previous men's show. The O shape, symbolizing perfection and purity, was almost unintentional, and has become a key recurring element at Saint Laurent. The focused presentation was characterized by refined and meticulous detailing, particularly in the flowing, long silhouettes, accentuated by power shoulders and slim waists. A color palette of black, white, camel, navy, and shimmering silver emphasizes a bold yet sophisticated look, with every look meticulously crafted.

Strong chiffon shirts and hooded knit tunics are paired with ground-hugging sweatpant-style trousers for an easy look. Coats also feature new volumes. Shapes and lengths are reimagined to create innovative pieces that reinterpret existing brand codes. Soft materials—mohair, cashmere, satin, and velvet—contrast with more rugged textures. A striking consistency prevails throughout the collection.

Saint Laurent's signature blend of masculine and feminine becomes more fluid, with this collection showcasing both elements while incorporating masculinity. The hooded silhouette introduced in the latest women's collection is further evolved with the introduction of a "cagoule" head-covering look for men.
