Emporio Armani's Fall/Winter 2023 collection was unveiled at Milan Men's Fashion Week on January 14th.
A View from the Sky - Creating New Perspectives
Everyone has at least once dreamed of seeing the world from a new perspective, high up in the sky. Renowned for its graceful flight and exceptional eyesight, the eagle symbolizes Emporio Armani's spirit of adventure and insatiable curiosity. Emporio Armani uses the eagle as its brand logo, symbolizing the aerial exploration of the unknown places on this planet we live in.
The collection pays homage to 1930s aviators and the world of flight, to the refined solemnity, the bold and precise style, and the metallic brilliance of planes and hangars. The aviator protagonist is dressed in soft, striking materials, enveloping volumes, and an expanded version of classic Prince of Wales and houndstooth patterns. By dressing him in sport-inspired clothes, Armani renews a character that has traditionally been at the heart of his creations.
Cropped trousers are paired with coats, trench coats, double-breasted peacoats and blousons, creating a variety of silhouettes. The look is completed with chunky boots or lace-up shoes that will leave a lasting impression. Oversized T-shirts are crafted from the same wool as the coats and trousers, while leather and knitwear add a sense of hardness and soft comfort. Vintage-inspired bomber jackets, long tricot coats, cardigans and matching gilets are introduced as new twin sets. Evening style is more sophisticated than ever, with the sheen of velvet and the sparkle of crystal at the height of style, while silk blouses with long scarf collars bring a relaxed feel to the rigour of double-breasted jackets.
The color panorama shifts between greige, beige, caramel and rust tones, from flashes of intense red to geranium with purple nuances and finished in black. Long gloves, a beanie, a duffel bag and a drawstring bag are essential accessories to complete this aviator look.
