New York brand Alice + Olivia, beloved by celebrities like actress Blake Lively, will open a pop-up shop. The shop will be located at Re-Style on the third floor of the Iwataya Main Building from May 13th to 25th, and at Kotokoto Stage 11 on the first floor of the Hankyu Umeda Main Building from May 13th to 19th. Creative director Stacey Bendet created the Spring 2015 collection inspired by a trip to Versailles. The collection features graphic prints inspired by painters Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse, digitally recreating the gardens of the Palace of Versailles. Other designs include painted prints by Stacey Bendet's friend, Lola Schnabel, creating a collection that resembles an art installation. The lineup includes silk chiffon pleated gowns and pencil dresses with bold graphic prints, as well as ankle-length satin pants, striped high-waisted culottes, and beaded long blazers, sweatshirts, and T-shirts. Additionally, the Hankyu Umeda Main Store will be offering collaboration items with Piece & Co., an organization that promotes the independence of women living in developing countries. Two limited edition items will be released: a blouse (32,400 yen including tax) and a skirt (35,640 yen including tax).
