The Bally pop-up event kicked off on the last day of Golden Week. It took place at "Kotokoto Stage 11," the first thing you see upon entering the main entrance of the concourse plaza on the first floor of the Hankyu Umeda Main Store (8-7 Kakuta-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture). The SS15 women's collection featured at the event was designed by Pablo Coppola, who built his career specializing in bag design at renowned fashion houses. This marks his second season as design director. Coppola's expertise lies in utilizing the brand's strengths and archives. According to the brand, sales of women's bags have been booming since his designs began appearing in stores. With a history spanning over 160 years since its founding and high-quality craftsmanship backed by exceptional Swiss artisanship, Bally has long earned the trust of customers in Japan. And with the arrival of new director Coppola last year, the brand's designs have evolved into even more modern pieces. The special venue will feature a wide variety of leather goods, including bags and wallets from "BLOOM" and "SOMMET," in this season's signature dusty pink and mint green colors. They will also feature a wide variety of shoes and classic lines perfect for everyday wear. Three Hankyu Umeda-exclusive models will also be available. Previously, Hankyu Umeda Main Store had only stocked Bally in its shoe department, but this is the first time the brand's worldview will be showcased through bags. "I first saw the new Bally, designed by Coppola, at an exhibition in Italy, and it left a fresh impression. While our store usually focuses on shoes, I think the newness is clearly evident in the bag collection. We wanted to communicate to customers who appreciate Bally's craftsmanship and tradition that it is an innovative brand. We hope this event will be a good opportunity," said Kazuko Maeda, head of the women's shoe department at Hankyu Umeda Main Store. "For example, 'Bloom' has a unique concept, like blooming petals. It's both structural and easy to use, which we appreciate," he continues. The high praise for Coppola's designs was also a major factor in the store's first pop-up event. Also, pay attention to the decorations in the event space. Visitors will notice the sweet, rich scent of roses as they enter the venue. The central pink wall, made of fresh flowers, primarily roses, was designed by floral artist Hideyuki Niwa. "We chose roses because we felt they suited the brand's elegance. To capture the colors characteristic of Bally's Spring/Summer 2015 collection, we tried to create a 'lifelike' look by arranging the fresh flowers in a three-dimensional way," Niwa says. This special in-store display is a luxurious experience that can only be experienced in this space. The event runs until May 12th. We hope you will come to this event, which encapsulates the brand's vision of a "basic yet modern and playful woman," and experience the new world of Bally for yourself.
