JTQ art book designed by Theseus Chan, who ran the Comme des Garçons Guerrilla Store, is now on sale

Dec 7, 2012

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the design firm JTQ, a collection of his work, "Junji Tanigawa, The Space Composer," will be released on January 25th of next year.
JTQ was founded by Junji Tanigawa in 2002 with the concept of "communicating messages using space as a medium." To date, he has worked on venue design for events, exhibitions, and installations, including Lexus events, Leslie Kee's photo exhibition, Yohji Yamamoto's photo exhibition at Seibu Department Store, and the Japan Media Arts Festival sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs.
In addition to a collection of photographs from his previous works, this collection also features a pop-up mechanism, reflecting Tanigawa's summer vacation picture diary, which he created in the form of a pop-up book. The book is handmade, with each volume unique. Available at Daikanyama T-Site and other locations. Price: 8,800 yen.
Art direction was provided by Singaporean art director Theseus Chan. In addition to publishing his own visual magazine "WERK," he also runs the Comme des Garçons guerrilla store in Singapore and has produced a collaborative book between Louis Vuitton and Yayoi Kusama. He is currently holding a solo exhibition at the Ginza Graphic Gallery until the 25th of this month.
