[Cannes Film Festival] Attention on the dresses worn by Haruka Ayase, Masami Nagasawa, and Kaho in "Our Little Sister"

May 15, 2015

On May 14th (local time) at the 68th Cannes Film Festival, director Hirokazu Koreeda's latest film, Our Little Sister, which was nominated for the Competition Section, was screened. Director Koreeda and the four actresses who starred in the film appeared at the venue.

Our Little Sister is based on the popular manga by Akimi Yoshida, which won the Manga Award in 2013, and features a star-studded cast. Set in a town with a sea view, the film depicts the bonds that four sisters forge.

On the day of the official screening, the main cast members, including Haruka Ayase as the eldest of the four sisters, Masami Nagasawa as the second sister, Kaho as the third sister, and Suzu Hirose as the fourth half-sibling, appeared dressed in dresses.

Haruka Ayase wore a dress from Dior's 2014-15 Autumn/Winter haute couture collection on the red carpet before the official screening and at the press conference, while Masami Nagasawa wore a dress from Stella McCartney's 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection with a deep green and vivid blue contrast at the chest, and Kaho appeared in a long dress by SAINT LAURENT in a striking deep blue.

The Palme d'Or and other award winners will be announced on the 24th local time.
