Chiharu Sakazaki, a picture book author and illustrator who is well known as the creator of the Suica character, has collaborated with TOKYO Kaihoku, located in the Isetan Shinjuku store, to hold a pop-up event titled "Welcome the New Year. ~Chiharu Sakazaki x TOKYO Kaihoku~" from December 26th to 31st at Center Park/TOKYO Kaihoku on the 2nd floor of Isetan Shinjuku Main Store.
New Year's Set - Pine (54,000 yen)
This event, themed around "Spending New Year's with Penguins," will sell items that will add a touch of color to the New Year, such as year plates, shimenawa ropes, bento boxes, kagami-biraki sets (New Year's sets), and Kutani ware, as well as other items such as striped shirts, polo shirts, and suitcases.
Collaboration cookies with Saikotei
In addition, items perfect for year-end and New Year greetings and gifts will also be available, such as collaboration cookies with Saikotei and Imabari towel handkerchiefs (embroidered).
In addition to the above items, the venue will also exhibit and sell original drawings created specifically for the event, one-of-a-kind Kutani ware pieces, and new prints.
