Shingo Katori's vibrant art will adorn the main entrance of Tokyo Midtown Hibiya this New Year.
This project is a collaboration between Shingo Katori and Tokyo Midtown Hibiya. Unlike the traditional New Year decorations like kadomatsu and shimenawa, this project expresses a new Japanese New Year through art, welcoming visitors to the start of 2019.
Born January 31, 1977, in Kanagawa Prefecture, Shingo Katori began his career as a contemporary artist in 2017. He held his first solo exhibition at the Louvre Museum in Paris from September 19 to October 3 of this year.
