Espace Louis Vuitton Tokyo is pleased to present "Moments of Life," an exhibition by German artist Wolfgang Tillmans.

Since the late 1980s, Wolfgang Tillmans has produced a body of work that pushes the boundaries of photography and image creation. Tillmans' photographs range in size from small to extra-large, in black and white to color, and are taken both indoors and outdoors, mounted on walls or framed. While returning to traditional genres such as portraiture, still life, and landscape, he also experiments with photographic printing techniques, such as photocopier enlargements and darkroom abstractions.

The Fondation has been hosting Tillmans's work since 2007 and currently houses over 30 pieces. This Tokyo exhibition will feature a carefully selected selection of works from the collection.



Espace Louis Vuitton Osaka has rescheduled its postponed exhibition of the great artist Alberto Giacometti.

This, the third exhibition at Espace Louis Vuitton Osaka, will feature seven of Giacometti's iconic sculptures from the Fondation's collection:
Head on a Pole [Tête sur tige] (1947)
Three Walking Men [Trois hommes qui marchent] (1948)
Venetian Woman III [Femme de Venise III] (1956)
Grande Femme II (1960)
Heads of Men (Lotar I, II, III) (1964-1965)

These masterpieces capture the talent of Giacometti, one of Switzerland's most renowned artists.

Both exhibitions are part of the Fondation Louis Vuitton's "Hors-les-mur" (Beyond the Walls) program, an international initiative that aims to make works from the Fondation's collection more accessible to a wider audience through the exhibition of works at Espaces Louis Vuitton in Tokyo, Munich, Venice, Beijing, Seoul and Osaka.
