
Starbucks will be releasing the Christmas tree-inspired "Pistachio Christmas Tree Frappuccino" and "Pistachio Christmas Tree" for a limited time from December 5th to 25th as the third new menu item to mark the finale of the 2018 holiday season.
The drink uses a fragrant pistachio sauce made from roasted pistachios to create a tree-like green color. It is topped with a sweet and sour raspberry sauce reminiscent of a bright red ribbon, creating a visual that evokes the excitement and joyful experience brought about by a Christmas tree.
The "Pistachio Christmas Tree Frappuccino" has snow-white whipped cream at the bottom and roasted macadamia nuts for texture. The whipped cream on top contains pistachio sauce, and the green drink looks just like a "Christmas tree." The "Pistachio Christmas Tree," available as a hot drink, enhances the aroma of pistachios with warm milk, creating a drink that will warm both body and soul during this increasingly cold season. Both drinks are also highly customizable, allowing customers to enjoy finding their favorite drink, just like decorating a tree with ornaments. Adding almond toffee syrup to the "Pistachio Christmas Tree Frappuccino" further enhances the nuttiness of the pistachios and macadamia nuts, making it feel like a dessert. Adding an espresso shot to the "Pistachio Christmas Tree" allows you to fully enjoy the harmony of roasted macadamia nuts and the nutty flavor of pistachios. Adding soy milk to both drinks complements them perfectly, enhancing their mellowness and richness, further enhancing the pistachio flavor—a customization that pistachio lovers will love.
It will be sold at Starbucks stores nationwide (excluding some stores), and the Pistachio Christmas Tree Frappuccino® will only be available in tall size, priced at 590 yen. The Pistachio Christmas Tree will be priced at 450 yen for a short, 490 yen for a tall, 530 yen for a grande, and 570 yen for a venti®.
