A new collaborative eyewear line between Ray-Ban and Kimura Takuya has been announced. Following on from the previous Aviator collection, this "RAY-BAN X TAKUYA KIMURA" capsule collection also features Kimura's long-time favorite, the Wayfarer.

As a Japan-exclusive product, it will be available for pre-sale from April 29th at Ray-Ban stores nationwide and on the official Ray-Ban online site. It will also be available at select Ray-Ban retailers nationwide from May 3rd. "RAY-BAN X TAKUYA KIMURA" Capsule Collection Original Wayfarer (2 colors available / 26,400 yen each, tax included)

Of all the iconic Ray-Ban eyewear, the "Wayfarer" is Kimura's most frequently worn. The original model featured in this capsule collection features two types of light-colored lenses selected by Kimura himself.

The Wayfarer sunglasses in this "RAY-BAN x TAKUYA KIMURA" capsule collection are available in two colors: a shiny black frame with light orange lenses, and a matte black frame with light gray lenses.

Kimura's handwritten signature "Takuya. K" is engraved on the temple end, and the capsule collection's exclusive box and case also feature the "RAY-BAN x TAKUYA KIMURA" collaboration logo.

Wayfarer-shaped sunglasses appear in most of my favorite movies, and they give off a uniform-like image. Just seeing men walking around in suits, white shirts, black ties, and black Wayfarer sunglasses creates a whole scene. I've always loved this style, and when I'm filming a TV drama, I often ask the staff to prepare them for me.

Whether I'm on the beach during my off-time or on stage in front of a large audience, I'm always on my feet. We only have one life, so I want to be as on-the-go as possible. I feel like it's a waste if I'm not.
