Starbucks will launch the "Christmas Strawberry Cake Milk Frappuccino" on November 1st as the first new menu item in its 2018 holiday season project.
Starbucks' theme for this year's holiday season is "STARBUCKS® THE Blend IS THE MAGIC." In addition to limited-time drinks and food menus, the chain will also be serving its traditional holiday cups and the holiday-only coffee "Starbucks® Christmas Blend."
The "Christmas Strawberry Cake Milk" (Short 450 yen, Tall 490 yen, Grande 530 yen, Venti® 570 yen) and "Christmas Strawberry Cake Frappuccino®" (Tall only 590 yen), both of which will be released on November 1st, are drinks inspired by Christmas cakes topped with bright red strawberries. The drink features a harmonious blend of sweet and sour strawberry sauce, with a granular texture that allows you to taste the strawberry pulp, and gentle milk, and a firm-baked biscuit that gives it the spongey texture of a cake. It will be on sale until December 4th.
The ever-popular "Gingerbread Latte," a drink that heralds the arrival of winter, is also back this year. It's made by blending espresso with syrup reminiscent of gingerbread cookies and steamed milk, and topping it with whipped cream and nutmeg. Its gentle flavor will have you looking forward to colder days. Starbucks® Teavana®'s "Joyful Medley Tea Latte," newly released in 2017, will also be available. The food menu includes a special lineup full of Christmas spirit, such as a mini-sized "Buche de Noel" made with original chocolate and raspberry jam, the "Stone Oven Filoni Holiday Chicken" made with fragrant stone oven-baked filone sandwiched with juicy roast chicken, mellow Madeira sauce, mashed potatoes, cheese, Christmas-themed red bell peppers, and green broccoli, and the "Cranberry Bliss Bar" which pairs perfectly with the "Christmas Blend" coffee.
And there are also some highly anticipated holiday season limited edition goods. This year, in addition to the ever-popular tumblers "Holiday 2018 Red Cup Tumbler" (355ml/¥1,500), "Holiday 2018 Tumbler Reindeer Joy" (355ml/¥1,900), "Holiday 2018 Stainless Steel To-Go Tumbler" (355ml/¥3,300), Bearista "Holiday 2018 Bearista Boy/Girl" (¥2,500 each), and beverage cards, the "Holiday 2018 Snow Globe Red Cup" (¥4,900) will also be available, featuring a snow globe with a festive Christmas scene encapsulated in a red cup. The characters featured include authentic motifs such as Santa Claus, Christmas trees, reindeer, and snowmen, with a seal joining the group. The equally popular "Starbucks® Christmas Blend" will also be available as a seasonal flavor. This year, Starbucks will offer a blend of Latin American coffee, smooth and mellow Asia/Pacific coffee, and rare aged Sumatra coffee, which is aged for three to five years in a dedicated warehouse. Choose from three varieties: the "Starbucks® Christmas Blend Espresso Roast," which is darker roasted to bring out its rich flavor and caramel-like sweetness, and the "Christmas Blonde Roast," which is a gentler roast. The "Starbucks® Christmas Blend" is also available in the "Starbucks VIA®" premium stick coffee and the "Starbucks Origami®" single-serve coffee. This special holiday collection will be available at Starbucks stores nationwide (with some exceptions) and at the Starbucks online store. The sale runs from November 1 to December 25.
