Popular ice cream shop Cold Stone Creamery has announced that it will be releasing a limited-time summer ice cream cone this summer. It has also been announced that they will be launching a mobile ice cream cone, primarily in the Kanto region, starting June 9th in front of Shinjuku Alta. Cold Stone Creamery has gained popularity for its unique, entertaining style, where customers are encouraged to sing as they make their ice cream. While the shop typically uses a generous amount of ice cream and fruit, mixing the cone in front of the customer, the new ice cream cone is a pre-made bar. Following the recent popularity of brightly colored bar cones like those from frozen fruit bars like PALETAS and gelato sticks from BUON'AMORE, Cold Stone Creamery is entering the ice cream bar market for the first time this summer. The ice pops feature chunks of strawberries and mangoes on top, making them a visual treat, typical of Cold Stone Creamery, known for its popular "mixed ice cream." The lineup includes three varieties of "Shortcake" (480 yen each), made with milk ice cream topped with fruit and whipped cream; six varieties of "Fruit Gelato" (280 yen each), made with fruit juice gelato and sliced fruit or almond kernel; and three varieties of "Ice Cream" (380 yen each), topped with a mix of ingredients that complement ice cream, such as nuts, chocolate mint, and red beans. A mobile sales event will also be held during the ice popsicles' release period. Special wagons and trailers will be available in front of Shinjuku Alta from June 9th to 22nd, and at the event venue on the 8th floor of Yokohama Takashimaya from June 17th to 23rd.
