Axis Gallery in Roppongi, Tokyo, will be hosting "AXIS Photo Marche 2" for four days from June 11th to 14th. This event, held in Japan, where there are plenty of places to view photography but few places to casually purchase it, aims to make it easier for people to find the perfect photographic work. It's a "marche" (marketplace) where Tokyo photo galleries bring together and sell bargains, including works by young and emerging photographers. The exhibited works range from masters like Robert Mapplethorpe, known for his black-and-white nudes; Ansel Adams, famous for his nature photography of Yosemite Valley and California landscapes; Shoji Ueda, known for his "Dune" series set in the Tottori Sand Dunes; fashion photographer Lillian Bassman; and renowned British photographer Martin Parr, to new and emerging artists like Kozo Miyoshi, who has been active since the 1980s, and Sachi Nomoto. Prices range from the ¥10,000 range to more expensive works.

In addition, the venue will also be exhibiting and selling outstanding works from the Gelatin Silver Session Photo Awards (GSS), which was held in April this year, as well as a sale of photo books by the bookstore Shelf. The main artists featured in the exhibition include Robert Doisneau, Edward Weston, Ansel Adams, Lillian Bassman, Elliott Erwitt, Michael Kenna, Brett Weston, Harry Callahan, Willie Roni, Martin Parr, Robert Mapplethorpe, Miyoshi Kozo, Suda Issei, Ueda Shoji, Okada Koyo, Nakafuji Takehiko, Murakoshi Toshiya, Fukuzoe Tomoko, Morita Goichi, Ishikawa Eiji, Hanazaki Yusuke, Naka Yuki, Hashimoto Toshiko, Adrian Bondy, Washio Kazuhiko, Ueno Ryu, Oki Yasuko, Otani Kei, Ono Junya, Kasai Masato, Hirose Kohei, Heejan (who lives in Seoul), and Dominique Merigal (who lives in Paris).
