The second installment of "DENIM ACT NIGHT," a celebration of denim, fashion, and culture, will be held at Shibuya O-NEST on September 9th.

Denim Act Night, which launched in March 2018 as a forum for fashion, music, makers, and consumers to come together, centered around "denim." This second installment is even more powerful, combining elements such as collaborations and pre-orders between denim brands and cutting-edge designers, experiential workshops and exhibition booths from denim and fashion-related companies, performances by young musicians, and a student remake contest using sustainable materials, primarily from used fabrics and used goods. By stimulating communication through denim, the event aims to create a space that maximizes the appeal of denim.
In collaborations between denim brands and designers, WHEIR Bobson and KEISUKEYOSHIDA, which were well-received last time, and popular up-and-coming brands Kudos and EDWIN will collaborate to create new denim products. Pre-orders for these collaborative pieces will be held at the event, and after the event, reservations will be accepted from September 19th at Global Closet/Jeaning on the 2nd floor of Isetan Shinjuku Main Building. Please note that production numbers are limited.

In addition, as a new initiative, a denim remake contest for students will be held. "STUDENT DENIM REMAKE" will be held, in which students will design and create the denim they want using products and fabrics from collaborating manufacturers. Visitors will vote on the day of the event to determine the best student products, and there will also be a prize awarded to judges including Christian Dada designer Masanori Morikawa and Levi's®. The winners will be announced on September 19th at Global Closet/Jeaning on the second floor of the main building of Isetan Shinjuku, and some of the products will be available for sale along with other creations.
At the collaborating manufacturers' booths, there will be workshops where you can remake charms and badges using leftover fabric, sales events at special prices, and booths where you can have fun while participating in sustainable projects. At the Levi's booth, people will be collecting old Levi's jeans to be used in the "The Art Project Crafted with Tailor Shop" project, and Yanuk will be collecting old jeans of any brand, with one lucky winner being given a gift of a piece of clothing remade from the jeans.

Further music acts scheduled to appear include the highly popular "chelmico," "Akko Gorilla," and "JABBA DA FOOTBALL CLUB," as well as up-and-coming artists.
