BEAMS COUTURE, a brand based on the concepts of upcycling and handmade crafts, has announced a collaboration between Ziploc and BEAMS COUTURE, releasing a total of nine items. A web video featuring actress Mei Nagano has also been released.
The collaboration items feature Ziploc bag series designs, including a tote bag (¥11,000), a sacoche (¥1,800), a backpack (¥13,000), an apron (¥10,000), a cap (¥9,000), an umbrella (¥9,200), a waist pouch (¥8,800), a sun visor (¥8,400), and a pouch (¥1,200). While retaining the charm of Ziploc bags, the unique ideas of Beams Couture designer Michimi Mizukami have transformed them into wearable items.

A web movie featuring Mei Nagano and Satoru Matsuo, showcasing the world of this collaboration, has also been released. It was directed by Kazuaki Seki, a video director known for his work on popular music videos for artists such as Sakanaction and Gen Hoshino. Titled "BEAMS TV Shopping," Mei Nagano and Satoru Matsuo, dressed as MCs of an international shopping show, introduce the collaboration items with humor and over-the-top reactions and fast-paced dialogue that would put even foreigners to shame.
In addition, popular illustrator Misaki Tanaka, known for her simple line drawings of retro, sexy girls and couples that will make your heart flutter when you see them, has created five works specifically for this collaboration. The original drawings will be exhibited at Beams Japan in Shinjuku, Tokyo, and will also be available on the "Beams Couture" page on the Beams official website.
