The "LINK TO LIFE - Scenes with Tea" exhibition will be held at ATELIER MUJI, located inside the MUJI Yurakucho store, from September 7th to October 7th.

The exhibition proposes expanding the possibilities for enjoying Japanese tea in everyday life. It will feature photographs by artists capturing "scenes with tea." It will also feature events such as workshops, gallery talks, and tastings, featuring Maruwaka Hirotoshi, who is behind the tea brand "EN TEA," which has grown from fields to a global market and is proposing new ways to enjoy tea in everyday life. At the "EN TEA x Kampo Workshop" on September 9th and 12th, participants will learn how herbal medicine and tea blend together, and the resulting tea leaves will be made into tea bags to take home. Also, from September 28th to 30th, the "EN TEA x Nordic Sing Tehus Workshop" will be held. Matte, founder of the Copenhagen, Denmark-based tea brand "Sing Tehus," who grows and blends his own herbs, will be invited to taste various blended teas while discussing Nordic life and tea. On September 8th, Hirotoshi Maruwaka will hold a gallery talk to discuss the exhibition's concept, "LINK TO LIFE: A Landscape with Tea." During the exhibition, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM on September 15th to 17th and 22nd and 23rd, there will be "Tasting Time," showcasing fresh ways to enjoy art and tea. Tea matching the photographs on display will be served at the venue.
Reservations and details for each event can be found on the official website (http://www.muji.com/jp/events/ateliermuji/).
Maruwaka has the following comment:
"Rather than spending a rich time drinking tea, it's important to have the heart to consider the limited time you have drinking tea as rich. People in the past would drink tea while gazing at hanging scrolls that corresponded to the season, and contemplate the marriage of tea with the world of the hanging scroll. However, many people living today would like to spend such time, but have given up, thinking that it is not possible in a leisurely life. In this exhibition, we hope that you will experience the experience of time that people of the past found between hanging scrolls and the tea room, through the beautiful photographs by artists, the tea we make with sincerity, and the encounter you will have here, and that you will carve out a time with tea."
Why not experience a "scenery with tea" that will bring richness and inspiration to your daily life?
