Since its launch in 1983, G-SHOCK has established a unique reputation for its durability and distinctive design. Since then, G-SHOCK has grown into a beloved brand worldwide through collaborations with a variety of cultures, including fashion, sports, art, and music. As part of this initiative, New York-born graffiti artist and designer Eric Haze designed the brand's anniversary logo, and has collaborated with him on numerous projects, including the release of collaboration models and an exhibition of hand-painted art at the G-SHOCK STORE SHIBUYA.

The GMW-B5000EH is a shock-resistant watch created in collaboration with Eric Haze to commemorate the 40th anniversary of G-SHOCK. As the first full-metal model to be produced through this collaboration, it is based on the GMW-B5000D, which inherits the design of the original model, and features Eric Haze's signature art on the band. After applying a black ion-plating finish to the stainless steel band, a dot pattern was laser engraved to recreate the design of the artwork in a chic monotone color.
